Neighbors please read the following security
alerts!
NEW! 6/10/09 - GARAGE THEFT!
Please
let everyone know that a family in Claire Haven was robbed this morning. Mom had
just gotten home and had gone into the house but left the garage door open. She received
a phone call within minutes from a neighbor asking if she was giving stuff away.
She said no. They told her that someone was loading stuff out of her garage and was
pulling out. The car was black with a paper licenses plate
tag.
This person also
stole her keys to their house and cars which she had in the car. This happened within
a five minute period. The guy stole tools and they are still assessing what else.
The police were called. This reminds us to always be diligent and aware of anything
suspicious and to look out for one another. Thank goodness she had a neighbor who
was on top of things!
A blue Honda Civic, 2 door, older model with 2 men inside
was seen 'cruising' the cul-de-sac (Barons Court) at 8 pm on Wednesday evening. The
men, (20-somethinged, olive complexioned, thick curly haired with unshaven faces)
stopped in front of each house and took photos of the houses with a disposable
camera. The
sheriff has been notified. Please be on the look out for this type of activity and
notify the sheriff immediately if you witness anything similar. Be Safe!

SPECIAL ALERT! Home Security Suggestions
All residents
are asked to take the following precautions:
- ALWAYS call 911 for immediate and
obvious threats.
- ALWAYS call the Sheriff's non-emergency number (704.920.3000)
to report ALL suspicious activity. The Sheriff's department is happy to send
a patrol car through the neighborhood.
- Lock your doors and activate your alarms.
- Tell door to door sales people
that our neighborhood has banned solicitation in the neighborhood.
