Our Annual Neighborhood Garage Sale will be on Saturday, June 16th from 8AM to Noon. We will advertise on Craigslist, UNCC Charlotte, and post signs around Harrisburg.

There is no cost to participate. However, we do ask that you help advertise to make this a successful event. Here are some advertising ideas:

• Send an email to your contacts
• Post on Facebook
• Post a flyer at your church or gym

Did you know that all of Cabarrus County is under MANDATORY and PERMINENT water restrictions? As an Abbington homeowner you could be fined from $100 to $300 dollars for watering your lawn on the wrong day!

Days to Water: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday

Don't get a fine for watering on the wrong day, reprogram your sprinklers to avoid violating the county water restriction.

P.S.
That means you can't have your kids running through your sprinklers on any day other than Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday too! :)

The Abbington pool is now open for the 2012 Pool Season and will close the end of September.

• The Abbington Gators will host swim meets on June 4th, 11th, and the 18th. The pool will close at 4:30 p.m. on these dates. Please note there will be many cars on the streets adjacent to the pool. The cars will be temporarily parked in these areas and will not remain on the streets overnight.
• The pool will also be closed weekdays from May 14th through June 8th from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm and June 11th through June 26th from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, for swim practice.
• Misplaced your fob or need your first one? Please contact Julie Phillips at (704) 455-4644 or juliep@carolina.rr.com. Replacement fobs are $25, checks should be made payable to Abbington HOA.
• If you are planning a pool party, please contact AuqaTech at: 704-644-3121. This needs to be done at least two weeks in advance. Parties with more than 10 swimmers must hire a lifeguard at $20.00 per hour. A lifeguard reservation form will be posted on www.abbingtonhoa.com.
• Children 12 and older may come to the pool without an adult after successfully completing a swim test. Children under the age of 12 are not allowed at the pool without a parent or a specific person (age 16 and above) who is responsible for their supervision.
• If there is a pool maintenance emergency please call AuqaTech at 704-644-3121.
• The 2012 Pool Rules will be posted on www.abbingtonhoa.com within the next few days. Please make sure your children are aware of the rules. For the safety and enjoyment of all Abbington homeowners, swimming privileges can be revoked due to unacceptable behavior.
• All non-resident guests at the pool must be accompanied by an adult Abbington resident at all times. There are no exceptions to this rule.
• Please be mindful of the pool deck by keeping all areas free of debris and left-over food. Remember: no glass containers allowed on the pool deck.
• Pool hours: 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday
• For those who are new to the community, the clubhouse is available for your private events. There is no charge for “community” events (where only residents are present). If you include any non-resident guests, this is considered a private event and requires a deposit and rental fee. Private events require a refundable deposit of $150 and a rental fee of $50. Return of all or a portion of your deposit is based on compliance with the clubhouse rules. Please visit www.abbingtonhoa.com for a copy of the rules and regulations.
• There is no lifeguard on duty. Swim at your own risk.
• Pool rules are subject to change.
